Placing or Re-homing Your Puppy/Adult Dog If you ever come to the place, for whatever reason, that you have to find your puppy/adult dog a new home, We require that the dog is returned to us. We will look for a family that will match your dog's temperament and place the dog in a wonderful new home. We do this to ensure that our dogs do not end up in shelters or rescues. All of our dogs are a part of our family, and we truly want the best for them their whole life, as we are sure our puppy owners do as well!
Health Information All of our puppies are given their first sets of deworming, which includes up to 4 doses over an 8 week period of pyrantel pamoate and fenbendazole de-wormers. The puppies are also given their first puppy vaccination before going home with their new homes.
Our puppies are sent home with their health records, so you can share with your vet what your puppy has received. We recommend that your puppy is going home with 2 parvo and distemper vaccines and should have 1 more puppy vaccine booster after going home, given in 3 week interval. You'll want to make sure your puppy has had that 3rd puppy vaccine before your pup can be in public areas, especially on public ground, due to the possibility of contracting parvovirus.
Please be sure to set up an appointment with your vet within 3 days of bringing home your new puppy, and discuss a good vaccination and deworming schedule!
Please read our Health Guarantee Agreement before adopting one of our puppies.
Health Guarantee Agreement Your puppy has received its first 2 puppy vaccines on _____,_____ Your puppy will need 1 more booster before being able to go on public ground. The booster should given in 3-4 week intervals. Please schedule the appropriate appointments with your vet for the booster. It is very important to make sure your puppy has had its 3rd vaccine before taking it into public areas. Please keep your puppy off of all public ground until the final booster is given, unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian. If prematurely exposed to public areas, your puppy is at risk of getting many illnesses including parvovirus, which is a life-threatening condition.
Your new puppy depends on you to help him/her stay as healthy as possible. If your puppy develops diarrhea, vomiting, acts lethargic or refuses food or water, please notify your vet immediately. From birth up to the time your puppy is going home with you, your puppy has shown no signs of illness.
Your puppy has been de-wormed with pyrantel pamoate, praziquantel and fenbendazole dewormers.
Please ask your vet about what future de-worming treatments he/she recommends for your new puppy.
Your puppy has been eating 1/2 cup Nutri Source brand puppy food, soaked in hot water to a mash 2-3 times a day. It is up to you and your vet to deterimine how many times per day your puppy should eat, depending on appetite and weight. If you choose to change your puppy's diet to a different brand, please make the change gradually. If a puppy's diet is changed suddenly, it can cause loose stool and an upset tummy. Refer to the puppy food bag for suggested meal portions, and be sure to ask your vet what they recommend for your puppy. Your new puppy will need access to fresh water at all times.
Your puppy comes with a one year genetic health guarantee. You must take your puppy in to the vet for a health check within the first 5 days of adopting your puppy for this guarantee to be valid. If your vet were to find a life-threatening congenital health problem that would have been present at the time of the puppy's birth, the new puppy owner would need to get a second opinion from another vet to confirm the diagnoses, then provide proof from both veterinarians to the breeder about the diagnoses. At that time, the breeder would then take the puppy back in exchange for a full refund, or a replacement puppy- whichever is the puppy owner's choice. The breeder will provide replacement puppy or refund within a reasonable and convenient time period for the breeder. Breeder is not responsible for any vet expenses after adoption of puppy. This guarantee does not cover color or type of coat, conformation, teeth/bite placement, external parasites including but not limited to ear mites, fleas, etc. and internal parasites, such as giardia, coccidia or any other parasites, or viruses.
This puppy is being placed on a spay/neuter contract. By signing this agreement, you agree that you will never breed this dog, and that you will have the dog spayed/neutered by a professional veterinarian by the time the dog is 1 year of age.
